＋ Very close walk to The Alamo and the Riverwalk. I’ve had many hotel breakfasts over the years and this was one of the best spreads that I have seen. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, pancakes, muffins, cereal, fruit, cereal bars, etc. Bed was super comfy. Room was clean. We requested extra washcloths and got them right away. The hotel is under construction so there was a little mess from that which is expected. But the rest of the hotel was very clean. The maids were prompt at cleaning the room each day. The staff was always very warm and welcoming. I’ve stayed in hotels in the past where staff seemed to get a kick out of making it difficult to do business with them. This was NOT the case at the Hampton Inn near the Riverwalk. The staff was always very friendly and welcoming and seemed eager to please their guests.

－ The only negative that I can come up with is the loud birds that are around the parking lot in the evening. You can hear them in your room. If you have a vehicle...you DO NOT want to park under a tree. In a matter of minutes our car was nailed at least 10 times.
