＋ The morning shuttle arrived and I was the first on it because I was told it filled up early and only made one trip an hour to the airport. If Zen Hotels (Booking# 9SMX49EWRA) offers any Holiday Inn bookings again they are hurting their reputation.
－ I cancelled my reservation at the Holiday Inn O'Hare on Cumberland Rd because they cancelled their shuttle service to the airport. I signed in at the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza on October 4th, got into my room and then alerted the Front Desk staff that I was returning my rental car to the airport and would need a shuttle back to the hotel. They said the shuttle service was running. When I called for a shuttle the front desk said a shuttle would be coming..... BUT IT DID NOT. I waited an hour, made several phone calls to the front desk and still NO SHUTTLE. Finally I called a male friend and asked him to call the hotel. The shuttle came a half hour later. That was exhausting problem #1. I had a lovely looking room- 1022. When I turned on the shower, the cleaning staff had left the shower head facing the sink. I was soaked-- as was the floor --- I had to use most of the towels to wipe up the floor. A waste of water and money for Holiday Inn. This was followed by the coup de grace when I pulled back the sheet and there was a long black hair on the bottom sheet. This bed had not been changed. This was at the Crown Plaza. This was at 10 pm at night, after a day of travel. I have no words to describe my emotions. Holiday Inn should be banned. I will do my utmost to advertise my experience to everyone I meet.
