－ Unhappy with initial room assignment. We were celebrating our 22yr anniversary and made specific requests. We understand nothing is guaranteed but it felt that they were trying to put us in a dusty corner. It wasn’t until my husband made it very clear the room assigned was unacceptable that the clerk gave us an upgraded room. When we arrived in the room we had to ask for new bedding because the cover had an unpleasant smell to it. The room decor in general looked very average, considering the price we paid we expected a nicer look. Was not aware that you had to request housekeeping by a certain time the day before in order to have your room cleaned.We found this out after coming back and it was obvious nothing had been touched, maybe the hotel staff should inform guest of this practice. The day of checkout (on a Sunday) when most ppl leave there was only one clerk available, the lobby ended up crowed and the line long. We won’t be staying here again.
