－ I would not stay here again – disappointing experience This was my third (and final) stay at this hotel over the past year, and it’s gone noticeably downhill each time. The condition of the rooms has significantly deteriorated: loose floor tiles in the bathroom, chipped walls, and broken countertops all point to very cheap, careless renovations. Service has been consistently poor, but this last visit was the worst. The shuttle bus — which is advertised at the front desk as running every 30 minutes or hourly — was unreliable. When I called after midnight to request a pick-up from Penn Station (as instructed), no one answered, despite repeated attempts. My family, including children, was forced to walk back to the hotel. When we arrived, the front desk clerk was on a personal call and clearly ignoring incoming calls. At check-in, we found the in-room phone’s “housekeeping” button didn’t work — it just made a strange noise. When we called the front desk to ask for help, we were told there was no housekeeping department. We had also requested pillows for the bunk beds (we had brought the children’s blankets) and were told there were none available. On checkout, be sure to ask for a copy of your bill. Despite having prepaid through ZenHotels, the hotel attempted to charge my credit card again. The same staff member who’s always at the front desk — no matter the hour — was involved in both the double charge and the missed shuttle call. This person appears to run the front desk but has no customer service skills and is consistently unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are too many reliability issues, and the lack of care for guests is unacceptable.
